Genesis 2:18
18 ¶ And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be aalone; I will make him ban help meet for him.
Today in Doctrines of the Gospel we talked about Families and about Marriage. We were created as Help Meets to help each other meet God. That's cool huh? I think about the blessings that I have for being sealed in the Temple for time and all Eternity. Wow... I've been sealed to my best friend and he and I will help each other go back to God.
I think it is so important that in this time of our life that we remember the Proclamation made to the Family from the Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That Proclamation is a message that talks about our role as women and the importance of Marriage in this life. The importance of Family in this life. I think about the responsibility that I've taken on by being sealed in the Temple to my best friend. We've decided to start a family and that has responsibility.
I feel so blessed to have Alex Marshall Christensen. I love him so much and I know that we are both going to work hard and helping each other meet God again. Without one another we can't do it. We will both, with Heavenly Father and the help of his son Jesus Christ through the atonement, become perfected and grow into our Eternal State and live with him again!
I have a true testimony in this document and I believe that all those who can read it should. I feel that I am so happy to be a member of this church and I've been given the opportunity to be blessed with this great gospel! I love the gospel of Jesus Christ! It's TRUE!! IT'S TRUE!

I know! We get so sad thinking about all of our closest friends we're leaving, like YOU AND ALEX!! In fact, I'm so sad, I just downed an entire pakage of pudding (not the snack packs, I mean the whole prepared box!! haha) Anyways, about the get together, I was think we could do some sort of pot luck abd Ruth suggested the park for a location. I'll call you about it later. Love you my dear!

ReplyDeleteAgreed- Help meets (AKA husbands or wives) are all about helping each other come to God. Isn't he brilliant with his plans? And isn't married life wonderful? :)
